Description: Formerly honored in the Gambero Rosso Italian Wine Guide with Tre Bicchierri, the highest rating a wine can receive, this jewel was cultivated with competence and love by the Rocca brothers, who feel close to the land. The grapes are from a single vineyard “Montestefano.” The bottles spend long, quiet months aging in their cellar deep underground, far from noise or motion, where the temperature is stable. Intense, yet elegant nose of berry and floral. Entirely hand-harvested from the Montestefano vineyard at 270 meters above sea level. 22 day fermentation in stainless steel tank with pumping over 2-4 times a day. Aged 18 months in 3000L oak casks, then aged 10 months in bottle.
