Description: The Domaine de Cornillac is a family owned winery within the historic Beaujolais négociant firm of Loron. Domaine de Cornillac has 9.65 hectares in southern Beaujolais in the town of Saint Verand. The oldest vines in the blend are seventy years-old, planted in deep plagio-granite soils. Biodiversity, respect for the environment, and water management are all important philosophies that the winery upholds. Beautiful ruby red color and aromas of wild strawberry jam are immediately evident upon opening the bottle. The palate exhibits a very fruity core. As the wine easily glides across the mid-palate, juicy cherry and strawberry notes upfront and a touch of cherry pit and licorice on the finish.
Food Pairings: Charcuterie, cold cuts, white meats (roasted, baked, grilled), Coq Au Vin, burgers, light fare, spicy dishes, stew, tuna, TURKEY (traditional holiday cuisine), salmon, quinoa stir-fry, veggies, etc.
