Description: Domaine Wilfrid Rousse is located in the hamlet of La Halbardiere in a former farmhouse. The vineyards are located on the right bank of the Vienne on the western side of Chinon. This is a family operated winery that respects the terroir and soils, maintaining the balance of life to protect the ecosystem. The "Galuches" Chinon displays classic aromas of wet leaves and forest floor. On the palate, violets and white pepper upfront layered over red currants and root bitters. Medium-tannins (dusty texture) and excellent acid/ alcohol balance.
