Description: Maison Cazes, located in Rivesaltes, in the heart of the Roussillon region, between the Pyrenees Mountains and the Mediterranean Sea, was founded by Michel Cazes in 1895. The 220 hectare domaine is ideally located in the Agly Valley, at the foot of the Corbières foothills. The predominantly clay-limestone soil is strewn with schist detritus and siliceous pebbles, an interesting combination which is very conducive to the production of fine wines. This Cinsault can be served with a slight chill and it displays a light raspberry color, the nose is on wild strawberry, leathery, and a hint of pepper. supple and fresh with notes of black currants and morello cherries, wet foliage.
