Description: This cool climate chardonnay offers a refuge for those drinkers who avoid Chardonnay because of the wood they expect to find. This unwooded Chardonnay is fermented in a temperature controlled stainless steel tank and then left on its lees. The wine has a pale-yellow and gold color. The nose shows candied citrus, fresh apple, yellow stone fruit and a tropical pineapple twist. The taste starts with a smooth mouthfeel underpinned by good acidity. The fruits found on the nose are confirmed on the palate. This un-wooded wine shows surprising length and balance as it comes to a clean, dry finish.
