Grape: 100% Pais. Region: Chile> Ñuble> Bio Bio> Itata. Notes:
Description: The Itata Valley, with over 500 years of history, is one of the country’s oldest wine-growing regions and whose name means “abundant grazing” in Mapudungun. This is because it was the Mapuche people who inhabited this place before the arrival of the conquistadors. A humid Mediterranean climate, with lower temperatures than in other valleys, with very distinct seasons. Clay and granite soils rich in minerals enable great productivity and facilitate growth of traditional varieties such as Pais and Muscat of Alexandria, which predominate in the region.
