Description: Borgo Maragliano Moscato D’Asti DOCG is the best Moscato d'Asti, produced by the Galliano family for five generations . The wine is composed of grapes from the oldest vines on the property, and it is clearly visible in the wine's character and generosity. The estate vineyards are located 450 meters above sea level on a natural terrace in the heart of the Langhe-Loazzolo area. The area is crossed by sea winds, which enhances the flavor, perfumes and the ripening of the grapes. Their wine is vinified and bottled in the cellar on the property in Loazzolo, the heart of Moscato country. It has received numerous awards including Gambero Rosso 2-glass Award and Slow Food’s best value wine.
The aroma is completely irresistible with intense, sweetish aromas of shrubs, flora, and fresh fruits (white peach, grapes, baked apples, etc.). The balanced acidity, and fine bubbles counter-balance the sweetness. The taste is deliciously sweet and bubbly. The freshness and moderate alcohol (about 5%) make it perfect as an aperitif or cozy day. The wine should be served cold in a wine glass (flute if possible). Remember to put an extra bottle in the fridge!
Food pairing: Aperitif, dessert, cheese, vanilla ice cream, fruit salad, biscotti, ginger spiced cuisine, panettone, chocolate, etc.
