Description: George Skouras was born in Argos, a town with over 3,000 years of wine and culture. In 1986, after studying agriculture at the Univeristy of Dijon in Burgundy, France, he went on to create Domaine Skouras in Nemea. The "Saint George" exhibits bright, deep morello cherry color. The nose reveals aromas of blackberries, raspberries and ripe strawberries with just a touch of aniseed and spices such as clove and cinnamon. It is a medium-bodied wine with elegant structure, balanced acidity and very ripe, elegant tannins. The finish is moderately-long, dominated by red fruits and followed by sweet vanilla and black pepper.
Food Pairing: Lamb, veal stew with onions (stifatho), Green-peppercorn steak with rosemary butter, Baked vegetables stuffed with lamb, etc.
