Description: In 1787 the Spanish Crown bestowed Hacienda Santa Ana in Bayamón, Puerto Rico to the Fernández family. In 1871 Pedro Fernández returned to Hacienda Santa Ana after studying engineering in France, where he learned about the process of crafting aged spirits. After perfecting his craft, Pedro Fernández produced the formula and process used to make Ron del Barrilito. The name came to be because the rum was initially served straight from a little barrel, or “barrilito” in Spanish. Ron del Barrilito is made by following the same process they’ve been using for over a century.
The 3-Star Rum is an impeccable blend of rums aged between 6 and 10 years in “Oloroso” white oak barrels. Wonderful sipping rum best enjoyed neat but also makes great classic cocktails.
