Grape: 90% Sangiovese, 10% Canaiolo, Mammolo, & Ciliegiolo. Region: Italy> Central Italy> Tuscany> Cervognano di Montepulciano. Notes: Female winemaker.
Description: The Chiacchiera winery, founded in 2010 by the family of Emanuela Mancianti, is located in the hills of Cervognano. This area, southeast of Montepulciano, is among the most suitable for producing wine. Emanuela personally oversees the vineyards and meticulously follows every phase of farming, leaving nothing to chance. Garnet in color with a light burgundy rim, the wine has aromas of brambly black cherry compote and tobacco. Medium-bodied with notes of cherry and cigar-box upfront, the mid-palate displays a juicy mouthfeel of raspberries and black tea leaf. Excellent acid and alcohol balance.
Food pairings: Charcuterie, cheese, chicken, eggplant, mushroom dishes, pasta, pizza, roasted peppers, sausages, tomato-based sauces, etc.
