Description: Marquis de Calon is the second label of Chateau Calon-Segur which was designated a 3rd growth producer in the famous 1855 classification of the wines in the Medoc. This wine is made at the estate using some younger vines and 2nd choice grapes selected after producing the great Chateau Calon-Segur.
"...The 2016 Le Marquis de Calon Ségur has a delightful bouquet of blackberry, boysenberry and tobacco aromas; hints of dark chocolate emerge with time in the glass. The palate is medium-bodied with a lively, energetic opening. This is well balanced and nicely poised, displaying a fine bead of acidity, and it feels long in the mouth.
