Description: Guidalberto is from the producer of the legendary Sassicaia. Oenologist, Giacomo Tachis is a legend in Tuscany, having created an entirely new genre of Italian wine, now known as a "Super Tuscan." 32 years later, he decided to make a second wine from the same estate grapes (2nd pick). His collaborations created the world's greatest Super Tuscans: Sassicaia, Solaia, Tiganello, and San Leonardo (outside of Tuscany). The 2017 is dark burgundy in color. Aromas of cured meat, garrique herbs, and evergreen at first approach. After some aeration, the aromas are more defined. The palate exhibits polished tannins and excellent length with savory characteristics of Worcestershire, balsamic, and graphite layered underneath cassis and black fruit.
