Region: Italy> Central Italy> Umbria.
Description: Located in the hills of the ancient Roman city of Mevania, now Bevagna, for this reason they have chosen MEVANTE as the name of their estate. Producing wines from indigenous Umbrian grapes: Sagrantino, Grechetto and Trebbiano. However the Olumbra is a blend of Sagrantino, Sangiovese, and Merlot which 20% of the vines were left to hang for an extended period of time. The end result is a medium-bodied wine that shows ripe red fruit with soft tannins. A touch of expresso, dried currants, and easy to drink.
