The colour has a beautiful golden hue; the nose imparts hints of stone fruit, sweet maple and hay. On the palate you'll expierience spiced caramel, dried fruit and hints of maple; the finish is long with notes of vanilla. History: Nathan Nearest Green, known in his hometown of Lynchburg, Tennessee as Uncle Nearest, was a former enslaved man and the first African-American master distiller on record in the United States. He was known to have perfected what is called "The Lincoln County Process", where whiskey is filtered through sugar maple charcoal prior to being aged in charred oak. Uncle Nearest was the man that taught Jack Daniel the whiskey-making process , and he is now also credited as the first master distiller for Jack Daniel’s.
