Description: Founded in 1975, La Kiuva is a cooperative of 60 small growers. This region is high in the Alps (500 meters ASL). An UNESCO village, which uses many of the indigenous grape varietals in the area. The main grape is Picotendro (local clone of Nebbiolo). The wine is light ruby in color with complex aromas of leather and cherry fruit. Displaying dried cranberry and cigar-box/ tobacco characters on the palate. Can also be served slightly chilled.
