Grape: 100% Cinsault. Region: South Africa> Wellington> Bovlei Valley> Twyfeling. Notes: Corlea Fourie (female winemaker), spontaneous fermentation, native yeast, 12 months in french oak.
Description: Platter's 2024 Winery of the Year recipient, Bosman Family Vineyard dates back to 1810. Eight generations of wine making. The previous generation farmed bushvine Cinsault with pleasure. Then new varietals became more common to fit in the heavily oaked New World style and Cinsault was demoted to a blending varietal.
"The renaissance of Cinsault is upon us. I would be proud if we can reclaim its as Africana. I hope this wine helps pave the way." - Corlea Fourie, Winemaker & Cellar Master
