Description: Ruby red with violet tints, aromas of fresh red berries, spices and white flowers. Juicy with berries on the palate, well balanced with fine acidity and very smooth tannins. Alexandre Relvas winery produces this easy drinking wine in the Alentejo region of central Portugal, southeast of the capital Lisbon, where they also grow old cork trees and breed and conserve local domestic animal species like the Miranda donkey and Garrano horse. Merino sheep have an important role in the winery's effort to reduce the use of pesticides- during the growing season the sheep graze on the vineyards to control the weeds.
