Grapes: 100% Nebbiolo. Region: Italy> Piedmont> La Morra d'Alba> Ascheri Vyd. Notes: 10 to 40 year old vines.
Description: The fruit is sourced from the La Morra township where Barolo shows some of its most elegant results. This is by far the most complete wine in the Ascheri portfolio with extra layers of fleshiness and structure; this wine is only produced in the best vintages.
The La Morra estate is situated in the western part of Barolo. Southwest and southeast facing slopes at an altitude of 350m above sea level.
Matteo describes it as a wine that is as much about place as it is about family roots: It so happens that his last name “Ascheri” is also the official vineyard designate.
“At the end I want to make wines that are expression of elegance, finesse, natural concentration and above all natural balance.” - Matteo Ascheri
