Description: An incredible traditional estate started by Jean Versino and now handled by his son, Jean-Paul. There are only old vines spread out over 40 different parcels, which are vinified in stainless steel tanks and aged in foudres for 2 yrs. He sells a lot of his production to negociants to ensure only the best juice is bottled under the estate’s name. The fruit profile veers toward red far more than black, with wild spice and a silky texture leading inot extremely fine tannins. This wine is remarkably seductive in its youth but will blossom with time into a etheral, rustic gem. Jean-Paul Versino makes wines as elegant and rich as Chateauneuf can get. A pleasure now but will age very well.
