Grape: Sangiovese. Region: Italy> Tuscany> Chianti Classico Notes: Aged in oak barrel for 2 years and bottle 1 year.
A traditional Chianti, smooth and easy to drink. Dry rose petal, cherry, and cigar-box aromas. Not a lot of tannin due to maturity, but enough to keep a good edge on it. Wood, lively acidity with notes of toasted oak, Asian five spice, and wild red berries on the palate. Goes well with almost any kind of meal, or drink solo. A bargain for the price.
Food Pairing: Pasta with red sauce, beef, white meats, roasted eggplant, grilled salmon, hard cheese, etc.
