Description: In 1947 Gabriel d’Ardhuy met Éliane André and with their shared passion for the wine region of Bourgogne, they created the Domaine d’Ardhuy. They had seven daughters who today are at the helm of this wine estate based at the Clos des Langres in the heart of Burgundy. The wine displays a beautiful balance of fruitiness and earthiness, boldness and finesse, this Burgundy white benefits from a rare addition of Pinot Blanc to the typical Chardonnay for additional depth and texture. Ladoix, a commune at the northern end of the Cote de Beaune sub-region of Burgundy, and adjacent to the famed Corton vineyards, is known for its exceptional wine vineyards, which were planted in the 10th century by Monks of the Abbaye de Citeau. The distinctive soft buttery aromas are due to malolactic fermentation and then it is retained in oak, which contributes to the complexity and adds a smokiness and a touch of vanilla.
