Minerally, Earthy, Light/Medium-Body White. Grape: Chardonnay. Region: France> Burgundy> Macon> Solutre.
Descriptions: The photogenic limestone cliff, shown on the label, is the symbol of the Solutre commune, known to produce particularly mineral-driven Chardonnay. Nutty, mushroom-y earthiness and prominent mineral nose is punctuated with whispering fruits and floral aromas. This small Pouilly-Fuissé based domaine is run by the brothers Jean-Pierre and Michel Auvigue, who are the third generation of their family to produce wine in the Mâcon heartland. To allow each parcel to remain true to itself, the bothers always adapt the vinification process to the climate.
Food Pairings: Recipes based on cream or butter, chicken, charcuterie, cheeses.
